up, awake, and nothing planned for the day.

It was very strange to wake up at noon and realize that I had nothing planned for today or this weekend. I’ll probably end up studying for my L4 Chinese test tomorrow and working on my creative writing assignment for AP Lit. Oh, and go to Ping’s senior recital but other than that– I have nothing planned. Nothing rigidly structured, no work (though I need to get a summer job).

This is a fantastic feeling. :)

I’m waiting for Jennifer to finish her Chinese lesson so I can go to the mall and buy shampoo and whatnot. I ended up completely depleting my bank account donating to the Red Cross so now I’m back to using cash.

Hmm, I wonder if most people use cash or rely on plastic nowadays. I prefer the latter because I know I won’t overspend and it’s much easier than holding up the line trying to give exact change.

How have you found using plastic keeps you from overspending? For many people, I think the inverse is true (at least if by plastic you mean a credit card rather than debitt)

You’re coming to Ping’s recital, yay!

I used to never give exact change because it would take too long, but nowadays I find the satisfaction of finding just the right number of pennies and dimes strangely appealing. And I definitely agree with the above commenter: it’s much easier to overspend using a credit card.

Arthus and April– I don’t know, I just do? I’m usually paranoid about overspending to begin with, but I check my bank account almost religiously online. :P With cash, I feel the need to spend every single dollar. With my credit card, I’m always afraid I’d overdraw my account.
